Stay safe — tips in plain English

Hover before you click
On desktop, hover any link to preview the real address. On mobile, long-press.
Watch for urgency
“Act now”, “account suspended”, or “verify in 24 hours” are classic scam pressure.
No company asks for your password
Real banks, Apple, Google, or Microsoft will never ask for it by email or text.
Check the sender, not the name
“PayPal” can show in the name field but the email might be paypa1-help@xyz.ru.
Avoid open WiFi for logins
Use mobile data or a VPN when checking email or banking on public networks.
QR codes can be fake
Stickers over real QR codes are a known scam. Confirm the URL before signing in.
